Typical steel work in the fabrication shop will be I beams (girders) that may require burning/cutting and plates/cleats to be positioned and welded as per drawings. Other steel work sections will include flats, CHS,RHS, etc. Finished items will be structural columns, floor beams, rafters, bracing etc. Plater/Welder duties: -Read and work to CAD produced fabrication drawings. -Position and weld up any plates/cleats as indicated on the drawings. -Add notches/burn holes as required.
