I am seeking a Technical Manager for a very large tunnelling project with a very reputable civils & infrastructure contractor in UAE.
My client are well known globally for their delivery on a vast array of civils & infrastructure projects. As Technical Manager - with a full design team reporting into you, it is crucial you have managed up to 40 - 50 people on international infrastructure projects with the contractor.
Specifically your duties will include;
- All activities concerning the Design and Coordination of Approval with the client & consultant, and the related Contractual Matters including method statements and material submittals.
- Overseeing the general procedure of design development and approval process.
- Follow up the general time schedule for the design development agreed with the client and the Project Manager.
- Follow up approved detailed time schedules for the design and distribution of latest revision to execution team.
- Follow up through the drawing management system and distribution of latest revision to execution team.
- Provide design reports, method statements, and material submittal as requested.
- Coordinate with Design Consultant and perform design checking.
- Define the requirement for personnel and equipment in technical department and approve the organization of resources.
- Follow the distribution of all technical correspondences.
- Manage subcontractor’s design progress and quality of drawing submitted to the client for approval.
You must have;
- Worked on high value infrastructure projects overseas
- Degree Qualified
- Acted as Technical Manager with Design team reporting into you
- A contractors background (experienced on Tunnelling projects)
Salaries are tax free and very competitive - and will largely depend on how well you fit the above profile. Packages are very comprehensive.
