Rail Construction (Section) Manager - Southern Malaysia - Up to US$13k per month + Package
The Highfield Company are currently assisting a major construction contractor in South East Asia with their search for a new Rail Section Manager to project manage a section of a recently awarded rail works in Southern Malaysia.
Our client has been awarded rail construction works totalling 250km including viaduct, at grade construction, underpasses and stations. The project has been broken down into five sections of approximately 50km each, we are therefore looking for a Manager to take overall responsibility for the civil work construction elements of one of the five sections.
In order to be considered for one of the five open vacancies you career to date should demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Over 15 years of major infrastructure project experience.
- Experience of working on projects valued over US$1Bn
- Experience of delivering rail projects as Project / Construction / Section Manager.
- Strong Civil structural experience.
- Regional experience is advantageous.
- Hands on construction experience and knowledge.
- A commercial awareness of major projects.
The project site is in the Southern part of Malaysia and therefore would only suit candidates who travel on a Single Status. This role is not suitable for a family status move due to the location of the project. The location may suit a candidate currently based in Singapore as the site is equidistant from KL as it is to Singapore.
Our client is willing to pay up to US$13k per month for successful applicants and the position is available now for candidate interviews and appointment. You will commence as soon as your visa is granted which is taking 4-6 weeks currently.
