QS / Sub Contract Processor
We are currently looking for an experienced QS/Sub-Contract Processor to join our Procurement team working at our head office in Swansea. The successful candidate will support our regions in the delivery of Sub-Contract Documents for all sites.
This role will initially be for a period of six months and will be reviewed thereafter.
* Review and analysis of draft Sub-Contract documents - prepared by site commercial teams - in consideration of contractual compliance, comprehensive completion and quality of issued product. * Amend documents as necessary prior to issue to ensure the company (quality and contractual) requirements are met. * Monitor the management of the documents from issue to final signature, including logging, recording and archiving. * Providing advice and guidance to site teams on the selection and use of sub-contract documents. * Provide advice and guidance on the selection of Sub-Contractors as necessary. * Aiding the Procurement Director with supply chain activities including the maintenance of the database as required. * Ensure regular communication and development of supplier relationships
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent - preferably with QS experience. * Must have commercial awareness and a comprehensive knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts with extensive experience of the preparation of Sub-Contract documents. * Strong communication skills with an excellent command of written English. * Highly developed analytical and numerical skills. * Articulate, personable and professional. * Strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills * Ability to work independently in a pressurised environment. * Strong team ethic * Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience of databases.
This role would suit an appropriately experienced and diligent individual with a strong work ethic and a fastidious attention to detail.
