Tanks, pumps, pipelines, valves, gaugesParticipation in the management of the supply chain and project costs of construction/fuels projects to ensure the overall financial success of a project.Measurement and valuation of works in progress in-accordance with industry standard forms of method of measurement and contract.Analysis of rates and prices, agreement of early warning and compensation events (variations).Responsible for the commercial management of all or part of a project and/or a number of trade packages within the project. Circa £5m per annum on averageUK Based role, international projects - Either home working, Birmingham or London BaseOccasional, infrequent travel to site if require Responsibilities To ensure the full and proper implementation of the Company's Procedures;To generate/maintain relevant records, accurate filing and support for all commercial functions;To ensure the prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection together with the preparation of sub-contractor payments;To prepare draft sub-contracts to the level of responsibility delegated by the individual's supervisor;To monitor sub-contractor performance in consultation with senior staff;To participate in pricing variations/design cost control/value engineering;To participate in the recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time;To participate in the settlement of main contract final accounts;To attend meetings with other stakeholders (if so delegated to do);To assist senior staff in the compilation of data to monitor individual contract performance on a monthly and quarterly basis;To apply a neat and accurate approach in all day to day activities and to strive to enhance one's own professional capability;Possible future project managementAny other duties relevant to the role. Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 Plus Package (Based on Experience)
My client is currently looking to employ a Senior Manager to over see the steel fabrication division of the business.
- Management of fabrication projects from initial client enquiry, preparation of quotations, order/project winning, processing of production documents and issuing to production teams.
- Management of production productivity.
- Management of Labour, Budgeting, Job programming, business Development
- P&L responsibility for the business unit.
- Maintenance of the existing CE system.
- Management of stock levels.
- Purchasing stock, this involves daily contact with suppliers on a project by project basis.
- Responsibility for the management, development and growth of the business unit.
Required knowledge and experience
- Experience in the structural / architectural steel fabrication industry.
- Fully understand the fabrication processes in a small-medium sized work shop.
- Planning and programming experience
