Principal Civil Design Engineer
£45,000-55,000 Experience Dependent
Currently looking to talk to Principal or Senior Civil Engineers looking for the opportunity to join an award-winning Consultancy specialising within the Infrastructure, drainage and highways industries.
*Supervise CAD Technicians
*Represent the company at external meetings with clients and fellow professionals
*Be responsible for delivering work to a fee agreed with a Project Manager
*Prepare client / project proposals
*Assist in negotiating fee proposals and requesting additional fees
*Construct project teams from internal and external resources.
*Procure project resources
*Agree design philosophy / design fundamentals
*Be familiar with Building regulations Approved documents, SuDS Manual, Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and be able to prepare Flood Risk Assessments
*Knowledge of the Flood and Water Management Act and its implications on the design of drainage schemes will be beneficial
*Demonstrable experience in Section 38, 278 and 104 Agreements
*Hands on knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D would be particularly advantageous.
*Experience designing all aspects of development Infrastructure works [Roads, Drainage, Plot Level designs etc.].
*Recently Chartered or near Chartered
The role will be client facing and therefore strong interpersonal and communicative skills are essential.
