Circa £5m per annum on averageUK Based role, international projects - Either home working, Birmingham or London BaseOccasional, infrequent travel to site if require Responsibilities To ensure the full and proper implementation of the Company's Procedures;To generate/maintain relevant records, accurate filing and support for all commercial functions;To ensure the prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection together with the preparation of sub-contractor payments;To prepare draft sub-contracts to the level of responsibility delegated by the individual's supervisor;To monitor sub-contractor performance in consultation with senior staff;To participate in pricing variations/design cost control/value engineering;To participate in the recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time;To participate in the settlement of main contract final accounts;To attend meetings with other stakeholders (if so delegated to do);To assist senior staff in the compilation of data to monitor individual contract performance on a monthly and quarterly basis;To apply a neat and accurate approach in all day to day activities and to strive to enhance one's own professional capability;Possible future project managementAny other duties relevant to the role. We are working with a leading expert in their sector, a specialist sub contract construction company delivering projects of the highest quality to new and repeat customers, specialising in the delivery of major sub contracts packages for building and construction projects.
We are looking for an Operations Director who is comfortable in full control of our operations division, to include working alongside senior colleagues at the pre-contract stage, through to completion of each project.
We seek an individual who can manage and deliver on the following remit:
- Delivery of at least £8m+ of construction projects profitably, and on-time
- Being 'hands on' through site visits to ensure each project is going according to plan in terms of remit, budget and time
- Proactively manage client relationships, our key to success is via recommendation and repeat business
- Manage compliance with all quality, health and safety and legal requirements
- Recruit, retain and manage a team of project managers, quantity surveyors and other professionals to deliver high performance
- Ambition to take the next step and be part of our company succession plan
Experience, Skills and Qualifications required by the Operations Director:
- Knowledge and experience in the construction sector
- Educated to degree level or equivalent ·Experience as part of a leadership team driving growth in a business
