ROLE: Managing Estimator
Our client specialises in the design, build and management of structural steel work Projects, predominantly inside of the M25. They are one of the market leaders in their field and are an ambitious and fast growing structural steel sub-contractor.
As the Managing Estimator, with experience of the construction / engineering sectors, you will be responsible for preparing preliminary budgets, milestone cost estimates and final bid scope/pricing proposals for various types of construction. You will promote best practice throughout and will be able to build great working relationships with new and existing clients, thereby supporting business growth with a great win/loss ratio of profitable projects. You will use your experience and know-how to support and manage an Estimator and support the Commercial Director
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working as an estimator is essential.
- Understanding and experience within the structural steel industry
- Have a good understanding of technical drawings, construction methods and engineering principles.
- Education to degree level or equivalent (or a high level of experience).
- A good working knowledge of MS Excel and spreadsheet programs and the ability to learn how to use specialist software such as StruMIS and Tekla
