We have had a great Diversity & Inclusion policy in place since our inception, like we do for all key areas of business. However, recently, we have made a decision to increase our focus on Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and our board has agreed upon key action points as part of our 2016 business plan.
With the changes to diversity in our core markets of construction, civil engineering and energy, we realise that we need to focus on how we can bring a more diverse candidate pool to our clients, which means we need to actively work with diverse organisations to understand how we can do more. We have seen that having a diverse work force that all work together and not in separate groups brings huge opportunity in creativity, understanding and staff retention.
We are well aware that this is an ongoing objective for us and we are open to say that we are at the start of our journey, but we are committed to making a difference to our industries in this area.
