About us - Director's Profiles
Pete Marston - Originally from the midlands, Pete obtained a degree in Pure Mathematics from Swansea before spending time working on site in construction in Hong Kong and Australia. Upon returning to the UK, Pete entered the construction recruitment industry, joining Hill McGlynn & Associates. During his 10 year's with Hill McGlynn, Pete was responsible for managing the UK focussed executive search division, as well as becoming a main board director responsible for Hill McGlynn's international operations, opening offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Canada, and managing the UK based International team. Pete left Hill McGlynn recently to pursue his own consultancy. If you can't find Pete in the office, then he is likely to be either supporting his two rugby teams (England and Worcester Warriors), singing loudly and badly at his church (Highfield Church) or he will be out on the Common with his wife Karen and his dog Willow!

Gideon Towers - After growing up in Northumberland, Gideon went to University in Leicester, where he openly admits to spending far too much time on his music. His first job was with the Leicester Probation service, before he came to his true calling, working in recruitment, initially with Reed Construction & Property, covering UK & International MOD & Property positions, before being headhunted to join Hill McGlynn & Associates in the International division. During his 2 years with Hill McGlynn, Gideon operated within the contracting field, working with diverse clients in the Caribbean, Far East and Africa, excelling in his role and becoming one of the companies most successful consultants. With a strong global network, Gideon is focussed on building The Highfield Company into a strong ethical force in the world of recruitment. And he still loves his music - all of his spare time is spent with his successful band "Gideon's Demise" playing in pubs and clubs across Hampshire & London. Gideon is also an active member of King's Church, Southampton, and he and his wife, Melissa, are expecting their first baby in October this year.

Toby Ball - After graduating from Southampton Solent University with a degree in Business, Toby spent time working in Greece, before returning to the UK to a career in property for 2 years. Toby then moved onto the recruitment side of property and construction, with Hill McGlynn & Associates, where he quickly became one of the leading permanent consultants within the company. After 2 highly successful years, Toby saw an excellent opportunity to start his own consultancy and has not looked back since. Although Toby is renowned for his 14 hour working days, he still finds time to practise his martial arts in Bournemouth where he lives. Toby is also an avid car person, regularly being involved in cross-Europe car rallies, although the rest of his colleagues laugh at how often he polishes his new car!

Josh Young - Josh started his career in Electronics, before moving onto business development within the marine industry. Josh's first recruitment position was in the IT sector, recruiting contract professionals for positions in Europe before he moved to an engineering recruitment company where he specialised in recruiting senior level M&E engineers for various industries. After a successful period recruiting engineering professionals for the UK market, Josh moved to a major International recruitment company, Hill McGlynn with the responsibility of starting and operating a new Oil & Gas division. Josh is the Oil & Gas specialist for The Highfield Company and likes nothing more than telling his fellow directors how much more complex petchem projects are compared with civil engineering projects. He is also an avid fan of Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club, constantly trying to convince his colleagues and partner Vicky into the investment of a corporate box at White Hart Lane. You can imagine the smile on his face with Spurs qualifying for the Champions League this year - Harry Redknapp is Josh's role model!
