Reconciliation of purchase invoices with procurement orders and passing for authorisation.Key Duties:Coordinating the procurement of goods and services.Communicating and coordinating with Key account suppliers.Negotiating excellent prices and performance from suppliers and sub-contractors.Carry out supplier KPI`s and reviews.Reporting of purchasing activities against project budgets.Ensuring that materials, products and services are procured and delivered on time.Preparing appropriate purchase orders, seeking approval/authorisation, and issuing same to supply chain.Checking invoices, ensuring they match purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.Distribution of appropriate data to the supply chain such as fabrication packages.Provision of timely information relating to price fluctuations.Ensuring that all purchases comply fully with company policies and systems.Attend co-ordination/ production meetings when required.Visiting Suppliers as required. Candidate requirementsPrevious buying or procurement experience, ideally in construction.Knowledge of building products, plant & equipment.Understanding of construction contracts.Previous experience of procurement software / systems.Numerate with good negotiation skills.Ability to operate within budget and time schedules.Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office experience), including Excel with the ability to manipulate data and provide reports.
