Role: Commercial Manager - Airports Salary: £75,000 to £85,000 plus package. Location: London Are you an experienced Commercial Manager with a history of successfully delivering prompt financial completion of Airside projects? Are you looking for an opportunity to join a Commercial team with exciting prospects within one of the biggest Contractors in the Country? Then a role within a Market leading Contractor could be for you. My client is looking to recruit an exceptional Commercial Manager with strong leadership credentials to deliver a flagship project within the Airport Sector. Strong Multi-stakeholder engagement will be key to this appointment as will experience of managing challenging Contracts in excess of £200m. The successful candidate will come from a Contracting background with a breadth of Civil Engineering experience and have in depth knowledge of the NEC suite of Contracts. You will be instrumental in ensuring Projects are completed to final account. Your duties will include:As the senior commercial resource within a Delivery Unit operational team you will directly support the Commercial Director in the Delivery Unit.Responsible for the commercial assurance of the projects under management.Working with procurement surveyors to ensure that subcontracts are placed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.Providing commercial assurance of project margin performance through accurate forecasting and identification of issues giving rise to commercial risk.Management of commercial performance, cashflow, margin management (commercial value creation) and commercial risk on allocated projects. Who we're looking for:This is a management position for an individual with the business acumen to develop commercial opportunity on projects within the Delivery Unit to achieve and exceed profitability targets.The individual should have proven experience in their ability to lead, influence and communicate with others.Be able to demonstrable experience in a specific sector may be required.The individual will have appropriate qualifications, and professional membership of the RICS, CIOB or ICE is desirable. The individual will hold a valid CSCS card.Ability to operate successfully in a commercial environment and previous experience of managing project commercial performance is necessary.Commercial awareness is required to assess margin, risk and cashflow.
