Role: Operations Support Specialist Salary: Tax free salary of up to $145,000 per annum Rotation: 30/28 rotation Location: Kurdistan We are currently working with an established Oil & Gas operator conducting production and exploration operations in the Middle East. Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Support Specialist to work in Kurdistan on a 30/28 rotation basis. As Operations Support Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the Operations Team in all aspects of Plant Operations within the LPG recovery plant. You will work with the Operations Superintendent to review operational personnel competencies, operational systems and procedures and identifying improvements in all areas. Role & Responsibilities:Contribute to plant Facility's continuous improvement in Production and HSE performance by ensuring safety and environmental Standards and Procedures are followed within the workplace.Provide input into preparations for planned shutdowns, engineering changes / modifications.Providing on the job training, coaching and mentoring.Ensuring appropriate control mechanisms, procedures and processes are followed in accordance with the Operational Procedures.Operate the plant within design limits to meet set performance targets and customer demands. Conduct operational activities to preserve the long term reliability of the plant.Ensure all work on the Plant is carried out safely and meets environmental standards and local regulations.Lead, where appropriate, the investigation team to report on incidents, Near misses and manage the follow up on consequent actions, e.g. NGL and LPG Tank truck leaks and related issues.Promote a positive safety culture within the shift team by raising the standards of 'Hazard Awareness'Conduct operational, maintenance and safety meetings for operations personnel every morning and shift handovers.Lead plant safety inspections.Review performance and report recommendations to Senior Personnel of other departments.Contribute to the process planning and execution of plant maintenance shutdowns and Start-Ups.Seek and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and where possible manage the delivery of these initiatives, involving other parties as required.Develop the skills and competence of the shift team:Identify and action training need in cooperation with the Operations Superintendent.Coach and mentor individuals to improve performance.Provide input for performance appraisals of all team membersAct as competency verifier operations personnel.Attend and contribute operational requirements at the maintenance planning/scheduling meetings.
